ROH 14th Anniversary Shows Results:

ALEX SHELLEY made his return to ROH Pay Per View in a singles bout against “THE FALLEN ANGEL” CHRISTOPHER DANIELS!

With BRIAN KENDRICK a guest on commentary, Shelley, who had an outpouring of respect for Daniels prior to the match on Twitter, came out on top after an old friend returned to help keep FRANKIE KAZARIAN at bay!

This shocking reunion is one you’ll have to see to believe!

REUNITED M.C.M.G. ADD MORE FIREPOWER TO LOADED TAG TEAM DIVISION

Ever since Alex Shelley revealed himself to be the mysterious man under the red mask while standing across the ring from his stunned, longtime friend Chris Sabin a few months ago, the wrestling world has been asking questions.

Why had Shelley been interfering in matches while keeping his identity concealed under a mask that had been associated with KRD (Knights of Rising Dawn), a group that consisted of Sabin and The Addiction?

How did Sabin feel about the shocking return of his former tag team partner, whose actions had caused nothing but trouble for Sabin and The Addiction?

Would Shelley and Sabin end up battling each other in the ring?

There are still some unanswered questions, but we now know one thing for certain: Shelley and Sabin -- collectively known as The Motor City Machine Guns -- are back together.

During the match between Shelley and The Addiction’s Christopher Daniels on the ROH 14th Anniversary pay-per-view last weekend, a previously conflicted Sabin was conflicted no longer.

He neutralized an interfering Frankie Kazarian and then laid out Daniels, allowing Shelley to pick up the victory.

After the match, Sabin pointed to his palm -- a gesture that is synonymous with the Motor City Machine Guns -- and he and Shelley broke the tension with an embrace.

That reunion of Shelley and Sabin is bad news not only for The Addiction, but also every other tag team in ROH, including tag team champions War Machine.

The Machine Guns have been one of the most exciting and accomplished tag teams of the past decade, winning championships both in the United States and Japan. They’ve beaten the likes of The Briscoes, The Young Bucks and The Dudleys and were named Tag Team of the Year byPro Wrestling Illustrated in 2010.

The Detroit natives first joined forces 10 years ago in Japan’s Pro Wrestling Zero1-Max, where they captured the promotion’s International Lightweight Tag Team Championship and successfully defended it for more than a year and a half.

Shelley and Sabin made their debut as a team in ROH in 2007 and appeared sporadically for the company over the next few years.

They unsuccessfully challenged for the ROH World Tag Team Title twice, falling to The Briscoes in 2007, and losing by disqualification to The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli) in 2010.

In 2009, The Machine Guns defeated Tetsuya Naito and Yujiro to win the prestigious IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Kingdom III in the Tokyo Dome.

Shelley and Sabin amicably parted ways four years ago to pursue other goals.

Shelley went to Japan and formed a tag team with Kushida known as The Time Splitters, who went on to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship twice.

Sabin embarked on a singles career and won multiple titles before returning last year to ROH, where he, Daniels and Kazarian ultimately revealed themselves to be KRD, a group of masked wrestlers who had been wreaking havoc for months.

When Shelley turned the tables on KRD and donned a mask himself, it put him and Sabin on opposite sides. Shelley, A.C.H. and Matt Sydal faced Sabin, Daniels and Kazarian at Final Battle in December, but Shelley and Sabin never touched.

On multiple occasions recently, Daniels and Kazarian attacked Shelley while Sabin watched but refused to participate. Sabin’s inaction didn’t sit well with The Addiction.

After the turn of events at the 14th Anniversary show, The Machine Guns and The Addiction are now on a collision course.

It’s not just The Addiction who are in The Machine Guns’ crosshairs, however. Despite all of their success, The Machine Guns still have one major goal to shoot for: winning the world tag team title in ROH, where the best teams in the world compete.

Shelley and Sabin can begin taking aim at that goal on March 12 in Philadelphia, where they are signed to compete as part of ROH’s Conquest Tour.

HUGE TRIPLE THREAT TAG SIGNED FOR PHILLY!

Fresh off the heels of the 14th Anniversary Pay Per View, Ring of Honor returns to the CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE on Saturday, March 12th at the HISTORIC 2300 ARENA for a night of the BEST WRESTLING ON THE PLANET!

Long-time ROH fans know that in 2002, The Best Wrestling on the Planet hosted its inaugural show in Philadelphia. With deep Philly roots, ROH’s return to Philadelphia as part of the CONQUEST TOUR is guaranteed to be a hot ticket!

ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness has signed a huge TRIPLE THREAT tag team match for Philadelphia!

The Addiction (Daniels and Kazarian) vs The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs The Machine Guns

What is it about the City of Brotherly Love that brings out the best in tag team wrestling? Whether it was the British Bulldogs versus the Hart Foundation in the Spectrum or the Midnight Express versus the Rock n Roll Express at the Philadelphia Civic Center, Philadelphia has a storied history of tag team warfare that extends over 50 years!

The tradition will continue on March 12.

When DANIELS returned to Ring of Honor in 2014 with KAZARIAN to form the ADDICTION, the YOUNG BUCKS were the first team to greet them. The Addiction used veteran cunning to score a victory over the Bucks in the first match on Ring of Honor television.

Fast forward to one year later at the historic 2300 Arena: the Addiction had used every trick in the book including the help of their then-good friend CHRIS SABIN to dethrone reDRagon to become ROH World Tag Team Champions for the very first time. Their challengers in Philly? The Young Bucks.

While Sabin helped the Addiction win and retain the ROH World Tag Team championship, his allegiance was tested when best friend ALEX SHELLEY returned to ROH in November in Nashville! The shocking return reached its climax at the 14th Anniversary when Sabin and Shelley re-united following Shelley’s singles bout with Daniels! THE MACHINE GUNS are back!

For the Young Bucks, two-thirds of the NEVER OPENWEIGHT SIX MEN TAG TEAM Champions, The Machine Guns just represent two more faces to super kick on their way toward their second ROH World Tag Team Championship. For the Addiction, Sabin and Shelley are the faces of the conspiracy that cost them the championships! What will happen when three of the best teams in the world in the deepest tag team division in the world face off for the first time in a triple-threat match?

You’ll have to join us in Philadelphia to find out!
