SCURLL VS SABIN FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN VEGAS

Picture
Chris Sabin has an opportunity to head to Sin City and capture his first piece of singles gold in Ring of Honor! A former World Champion and one of the most-innovative tag team wrestlers of this century, Sabin can write the next chapter of his career if he can defeat Punishment Martinez for the World Television Championship at Death Before Dishonor.
But the victory and celebration around a title victory would have to be short-lived! Just one night after facing Punishment Martinez, Sabin will go one-on-one with one of the greatest World Television Champions of all time, “The Villain” Marty Scurll.
And if Sabin wins the Championship, the title will be on the line!
IF CHRIS SABIN WINS THE WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP AT DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR, THE TITLE IS ON THE LINE
CHRIS SABIN vs. “THE VILLAIN” MARTY SCURLL

“The Villain” Marty Scurll is coming off three huge victories on the Honor Re-United Tour, including a rare pinfall victory over former two-time ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe! Prior to that, Scurll picked up wins against Shane Helms, Vinny Marseglia, and in a three-way bout against Jay Lethal and Flip Gordon in Dallas! Scurll is on a roll and has quickly risen back up the championship ranks following a disappointing defeat in the main event of Best in the World.
Scurll and Sabin will meet for the first time, ever, in singles competition in Las Vegas! And if Sabin is victorious against Punishment Martinez and captures the ROH World Television Title, Scurll will have an opportunity to capture a title he defined through the end of 2016 and for much of 2017!

Who will leave Las Vegas victorious? Will we see the World Television Championship on the line? Join us LIVE in Vegas to find out before anyone else!

Death Before Dishonor returns to Las Vegas, the Fight Capital of the World, LIVE on Pay Per View and for HonorClub VIP on Friday September 28 at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT and returns the next night for an International Television Taping with all of your favorite ROH stars! Championships will be decided and feuds ended and YOU can watch it all LIVE!

SABIN TO CHALLENGE MARTINEZ FOR TV TITLE AT DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR

During the gauntlet to crown the number one contenders for the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship, Alex Shelley suffered nerve damage in his gums and mouth, a concussion, and jaw injuries, putting him on the shelf. Shelley was competing in the match without Motor City Machine Guns partner Chris Sabin because Sabin was competing in the Best of Super Juniors tournament, where he won three matches and reestablished himself as a top singles star.
Following the injury, Sabin got Shelley’s blessing to follow this path. A former World Champion in not only tag team and singles action, Sabin earned a future World Television Championship shot by defeating former two-time ROH World Television Champion Silas Young in a number one contender’s match. And following the despicable blindside attack on he and Shelley in Atlanta, Sabin wants to cash it in against the largest man to ever hold the World Television Championship!

ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION PUNISHMENT MARTINEZ vs. CHRIS SABIN

It is hard to hide a near 6’7”, 265 lbs frame but Punishment Martinez did just that, lurking in the shadows until the time was right to attack the number one contender and his long-time best friend and tag team partner following an emotional series of revelations by Alex Shelley about the status of his professional wrestling career.
Martinez, who captured the title at State of the Art: Dallas by pinning Silas Young in the main event, was looking to fire the first shot and hit Sabin both physically and proverbially where it hurts. Now, Sabin, knowing his partner is taking a sabbatical, has quickly climbed the singles ranks and not only is motivated by gold but also by the fact that he could get revenge against Martinez!

Last year’s Death Before Dishonor in Las Vegas saw both men pull the equivalent of three 7s or straight flushes: Martinez dispatching of “Switchblade” Jay White in a Vegas Street Fight to end their feud while Sabin and Shelley defeated the Young Bucks to win the ROH World Tag Team Titles. But this year, someone will hit the jackpot while the other will draw a bad beat. Who will walk out of Las Vegas World Television Champion? Join us LIVE in Vegas, on Pay Per View, or as it is broadcast for HonorClub VIP to find out!

EIGHT-MAN TAG TEAM MATCH

BULLET CLUB (IWGP World Heavyweight Tag Team Champions G.O.D. and The Young Bucks) vs. MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS, REBORN MATT SYDAL, & IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA

Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa won the IWGP World Heavyweight Tag Team Championships in their first match teaming together in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. The two brothers, and sons of legendary Haku, will make their ROH debut at GLOBAL WARS and they aren’t coming alone! Fellow Bullet Club members Matt and Nick Jackson, The Young Bucks, will join them in a battle against four of the top junior heavyweight stars in the world!

The Motor City Machine Guns are no strangers to the Young Bucks; the two teams competed in the main even of Supercard of Honor X and tore the house down. Both teams are former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight tag team champions and are incredibly evenly matched. The Guns will team up with one half of the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight tag team champions Reborn Matt Sydal and IWGP World Jr. Heavyweight Champion KUSHIDA, forming a never-before-seen, four-man dream team!

Despite a mutual respect that has grown for years between the Bucks and the Guns, the question remains if Bullet Club will be able to resist the urge to bend the rules in their favor in Chicago Ridge. With Tonga and Loa looking to make impressive debuts, expect them to be taken to the limit by the team of Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, Sydal, and KUSHIDA! To see this eight-man battle, you HAVE to join us live on pay-per-view!

THE BRISCOES (JAY & MARK) vs. THE MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS (CHRIS SABIN & ALEX SHELLEY)

For months, Jay and Mark Briscoe have declared their intentions: they want to climb the mountainous Ring of Honor tag team division for a record-setting ninth time. During Night 2 of Super Card of Honor in Dallas, the Briscoes earned a ROH World Tag Team title shot by winning a four-corners tag team bout and will face champions War Machine at Global Wars. As the last team to beat War Machine, the Briscoes are brimming with confidence heading into this championship clash!
But the Ring of Honor originals who proudly proclaim that they have been ROH “Since Day One” never turn down a fight and have signed to face the Motor City Machine Guns for the very first time in a two-on-two bout in Dearborn!

The Machine Guns reunited in Las Vegas at 14th Anniversary and have jumped into the deep end of the most competitive tag team division in professional wrestling. After dispatching the Addiction, Sabin and Shelley took their brand of Detroit violence straight to teams like the Young Bucks, reDRagon, and, yes, the Briscoes! The two teams were two-thirds of the main event in West Warwick, RI – after being left for dead following a brutal attack in San Antonio by the Addiction, the Guns put forth a world-class effort before falling just short to the Briscoes.

The Guns petitioned Nigel McGuinness for a chance to meet the Briscoes in full health. Now, in Dearborn, the Briscoes and the Guns, no strangers to worldwide gold, will collide for the VERY FIRST TIME in a two-on-two, tag-team dream match! With so many teams jockeying for position in the deepest tag team division in the world, and the possibility of the Briscoes coming into this match as ROH World Tag Team champions, this first-time match-up has the potential to rock the entire tag team landscape!

Global Wars Night One (May 15th)
Chris Sabin vs. KUSHIDA vs. Kyle O’Reilly
Bobby Fish could not make it due to travel issues, so O’Reilly was inserted into this match.
Everyone trades armdrags and attempts dropkicks at the same time. Sabin pulls O’Reilly to the floor and sends him into the barricade. KUSHIDA comes off the apron with a seated senton on Sabin.
In the ring, KUSHIDA connects with a basement dropkick on Sabin. Sabin responds with a hesitation dropkick. He sends O’Reilly into KUSHIDA with an overhead suplex. O’Reilly sweeps out Sabin’s legs. He catches KUSHIDA with a cross armbreaker in the ropes. Sabin breaks the hold with a superkick to O’Reilly. KUSHIDA connects with gamengiris to both of his opponents and wrings their arms across the top rope. He hits a german suplex on O’Reilly while pinning Sabin for a nearfall. KUSHIDA applies the Hoverboard Lock to Sabin.
O’Reilly slaps on a guillotine on KUSHIDA and a rope break ensues. O’Reilly hits a regalplex on KUSHIDA for a two count. Sabin hits a tornado DDT on O’Reilly while connecting with an enzuigiri to KUSHIDA. Everyone trades strikes. O’Reilly wins with a double rebound lariat. He hits a brainbuster on Sabin and transitions into a cross armbreaker. KUSHIDA breaks up the hold with a moonsault.
All three men are down. KUSHIDA goes back to the Hoverboard Lock on Sabin for the victory at 10:00

May 1st 2015 - AAW "Take No Prisoners" - Johnny Gargano defeated Chris Sabin

May 2nd 2015 - MCPW Battleground VII
Taken From MCPW.
Sabin took on Jake Omen in one of Omen’s biggest matches to date. Near the conclusion of the matchup, the referee was temporarily knocked out, and Omen went for a plastic bag, the same weapon he used on Scotty Young back at AfterMath: Joker’s Wild. Young didn’t want to see that go down, and he made sure that it didn’t. Sabin was then able to hit the Cradle Shock and score the win.
